Anna Galvano is the founder and managing director of Captivating Tours & Pilgrimages, a New York–based mission dedicated to creating spiritually transformative pilgrimages to some of the most sacred places in the world.

Originally from Italy, Anna studied at Sapienza University in Rome, the University of Regensburg in Germany, and Fordham University in New York. In 1991 she came to the United States to study English, where she met her husband and made New York her home. Together they built a life rooted in entrepreneurship, owning and operating a hotel and restaurants while serving the hospitality industry for many years.

For more than two decades Anna worked with tour operators across the world, developing deep experience in hospitality, travel, and the art of caring for people. Yet in the midst of the demanding rhythm of business life, long days of work, responsibilities, and raising her family, she experienced a profound encounter with the Lord that transformed the direction of her life. Her heart was captivated by the love of Christ.

From that moment forward, what had once been simply work took on a deeper meaning. Hospitality became a way of serving souls, and travel became a path toward encounter with God.

During this time of interior transformation, the Sisters of Life played an important role in Anna’s journey, becoming vessels of Christ’s healing and hope. Through their guidance, and through the ENDOW program based on the teachings of Pope St. John Paul II, her spiritual life deepened and became firmly centered in Christ.

Today, through Captivating Tours & Pilgrimages, Anna prayerfully designs journeys that go far beyond visiting sacred places. Each pilgrimage becomes an invitation from Our Blessed Mother to step away from the noise of daily life and enter a sacred space where faith can be renewed and hearts opened to God’s grace.

In addition to her work with pilgrimages, Anna also serves the Archdiocese of New York at the Metropolitan Tribunal, assisting Judges and Petitioners during the marriage annulment process and accompanying individuals during a time of seeking truth, healing, and new hope.

Anna often reflects on the transformation that gave birth to this mission:

“When Christ takes over one's heart, the heart becomes selfless. Life is no longer centered on oneself, but becomes a vessel through which Christ’s love can be poured out for others.”

What began as a personal encounter with Christ has now become a mission, to accompany souls on a sacred journey where faith is renewed, hearts are healed, and lives are quietly transformed by God’s grace.
